Another year, another FIFA, and for the third year running, the Malta Football Association and GMR are proud to announce the third season of the Malta BOV ePremier League. Once again bringing the highest level of competitive FIFA to the Maltese Islands, the event itself is yet again licensed by EA Sports as an official qualifier for the international FIFA Global Series.
Since this year's local Premier League was reduced to 12 football clubs, the Malta BOV ePremier League Main Competition phase will boil down to 12 Maltese FIFA competitors each representing one of them.
The format this year has been revised in order to freshen things up. The main competition will span across 2 separate stages of play, Group Stage, and finally the Live KO Stage. In terms of runtime, the group stage will kick-off on the 15th of March at 9pm having all matches streamed on our social media pages as well as on TVM News+ Website.
Furthermore, matches will be played on PS5, making the Malta BOV ePremier League 2021/22 Season the very first major local esports competition officially being played on PS5.
To really top it all off, apart from pride, the winner is also be eligible for a highly coveted seat to the EA Global Series Playoff Phase, giving players a greater chance to seek international glory.
